Clues, Both Leading and Misleading

Hello, friends!

News:

This week was a little less productive thanks to sickness (boo!) and needing to take care of my car and other fun adulting things, but I still made progress on my mystery plot, not to mention coming up with a better name for Commando…since apparently everyone who reads his name thinks that he’s “going commando.” Poor guy. He’s so embarrassed. But back in the mystery I so cleverly distracted you from, I managed to come up with some nice clues with double meanings, new ways to misinterpret the actual clues, and a much more plausible red herring than the original one I’d come up with. Because why should we make Thomas’s job too easy? He’s only trying to save the free world. It’s not like there’ll be consequences if he fails…

Writing Tip:

Places you can hide clues include the middle of a list of other details, in a joke, or possibly in the middle of song lyrics, since I at least tend to skip those.

And with that, I must bid you farewell ’till next week. Epic feats await!
