Timothy Kuhn is a self-published author. He has been writing for a few decades, ever since first grade where he wrote about a rabbit who got abducted by aliens and “punched their lights out” before taking their spaceship for a ride around the solar system. He decided to write novels after reading the Redwall series and subsequently writing fanfiction for it. After a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he furthered his love of writing with classes from Brandon Sanderson and David Farland.
Timothy owes a great debt to the previous writers of fantasy both for creating astonishingly imaginative worlds, magics, creatures, and characters, as well as for learning to pick up the pace so that not every book is as slow as the Lord of the Rings (which is a masterpiece, albeit one that travels slower than the average snail). For more of the writers he enjoys, see Tributes to My Favorite Authors.
In June 2017 Timothy married Alicia Oliphant. They have 3 kids and live in Texas. Timothy loves ballroom dancing, racquetball, and board games. His boyhood love for Axis & Allies has matured into a mild obsession with Dominion. He and his wife run Kuhn Tutoring, an online tutoring business, because they believe that an understanding of math and physics is useful no matter what world you inhabit.
