Hello, friends!

News:

I’m finally done fiddling with the outline for Frostfire! YAY! Celebrations! I finished it up on Wednesday, hitting the goal I posted last week!

Finally I’m back to drafting! I’ve drafted almost 4500 new words already, even with Thursday being a bit of a “recover and try to survive” day. If I can average 2500 words a day there’s an excellent chance that I can be done with this next draft by the end of August! Wish me luck!

Writing Advice

If you’re trying to write and you feel stuck, take heart! It might feel as if your progress is achingly, frustratingly slow, but just keep going! Eventually you’ll pull yourself out of that treacherous tarpit, feel the firm earth beneath your feet, and start sprinting! Trying to get the outline working felt like it took forever and my progress felt infinitesimally small, but now that it’s finished I can chug ever so much faster while drafting! Even if you’re not an outliner, you’ll have days when the writing is easier, and days when every word is a struggle. Just keep going and you’ll get where you want to go!
